About

Columbus, Ohio based glass artist focused on hot shop glass art and instruction.

  • 2000/2001 - I found my love of glass at BGSU based on a recommendation from a friend.  I took Glass I and Glass II and became proficient at basic vessel forms and color techniques.  Wavy/fluted bowls became my favorite form.  The fluted bowl fascinates me because it is a choreography of temperature, thickness and speed.  Every bowl will be unique because of these different variables.  A few examples of my favorites from this time period are here.

  • Early 2016 - After many years of life and career, I found Glass Axis and rekindled my love of glass.  I started over with Glass I and Glass II., relearning the fundamentals and basic forms.  Some of that early work is here.

  • Late 2016 - After an intensive 3 day class with John Miller, I found a new passion for color and crackle techniques.  This is where my current work is in many forms, although you can see the influence of the fluted bowl from my early years as well.  The crackle and color combination is always random, organic and chaotic.  In addition to my own work, I became an instructor for some of the First Experience classes offered at Glass Axis.
